Oropharyngeal Cancer and Dysphagia

Abstract
There are a wider range of treatment options for head and neck cancer and these options are getting more aggressive and strong. The adverse effects such as dysphagia have also increased. DARS (dysphagia-aspiration related structures) which are at-risk structures of dysphagia and aspiration, is composed of the base of the tongue, pharyngeal constrictors, larynx and autonomic neural complex. Dysphagia following treatment of oropharyngeal cancer can be more evident.
